Austin McBroom had a triple-double - 12 points, 10 assists and 10 steals - for the Vikings in the 72-35 blowout win in the Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament at Campbell Hall High School.

Along with McBroom, Cole Huff had 27 points and 10 rebounds and K.J. Smith scored 20 for Campbell Hall.

HS HOOPS: Taft leads by six after three quarters

Loyola led for the first time, but Taft has come back and is ahead 50-44 after three quarters.

HS HOOPS: Westchester asserts itself, extends lead to 15

It's panic time for Taft, as Westchester has broken up a close game to lead by 15 points late in the third quatter -- 49-34.

The Comets have hit four 3-pointers in the period.

Boys' Basketball: Farhadi leads Buckley to tournament finals

Andrew Farhadi started the new year with a bang....

Farhadi scored a game-high 30 points, grabbed 19 rebounds and dished out five assists to lead Buckley of Sherman Oaks to the 64-59 victory over Pacifica Christian of Santa Monica in a semifinal game in the Palm Springs tournament at Desert Christian High School in Indio.

The Griffins (13-1) will play host Desert Christian in the Championship game Saturday.

Jake Brodsky and Ryan Norris scored 11 points each for Buckley. Norris had seven assists while Brodsky had five assists.

In other Boys' Basketball games:
Malibu 64, Viewpoint 61: Chya Mousavipor had 20 points to lead four Malibu players in double figures in the Viewpoint tournament in Calabasas.

Chandler Abbott had 18 points, Max Flores had 11 and Ben Rotman added 10 for the Sharks (10-4).

Malibu trailed 30-27 at halftime but outscored Viewpoint 25-11 in the third quarter to take control of the game.

Tucker Trainer scored a game-high 27 points to lead Viewpoint (4-5). Jack Borenstein added 12 points for the Patriots.

Gian Cook scored a game-high 31 points, Manat Khaira had 19 and David Flores added 13 for the Contenders (11-6, 5-2).
Eric Encias scored 13 and Elliott Percella added 12 for L.A. Lutheran (3-15, 1-6).

INTERNATIONAL
Delphi Academy 85, Waverly 28

Nick Brown scored 26 points, while Cameron Celilker, Eloy Jordan and Chris Krios each scored 14 points. Arya Tabibzadeh added 11 for Delphi Academy (5-13, 3-6).

NONLEAGUE
Milken 70, Vistamar 60

Sam Else scored 27 points and had 11 rebounds and Josh Russ added 16 points for Milken (16-5).

L.A. Baptist 73, Paraclete 47
Mike Chrzanowski scored a game-high 26 points and Jimmy Augur added 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Knights (9-11).
Paraclete (5-19) was led by Mike McCurtis' 14 points.
