Congresswoman Laura Richardson, D-Long Beach, is enroute to Denver's Democratic National Convention.

But before leaving her district, the superdelegate ---a Sen. Hillary Clinton supporter--- said she's encountered no signs among other delegates that there will be an effort to get the New Yorker onto the ticket.

Richardson emphasized that she would support the vice presidential selection, and hopes there will be no division at the convention.

Richardson will cut a dashing figure in Denver. Long Beach residents will embrace the disgrace of being defined by this totally unaccomplished Party operative. Years of most total Party support could have yielded some respect from the leadership but, alas, we ask for nothing and we got even less. Richardson now defines Long Beach. If we had any pride, gratitude for our citizenship, or the character to shoulder our citizen responsiblities to the City, the State, or the Nation we would demand better. But, alas, we have no pride, integrity, or character and it shows...Laura Richardson proves it....Big Time.

Why are we even listening to Richardson?
