The Poly girls basketball team played a tremendous second half and overcame Colony, 67-54, to win the CIF Southern California Division I Regional tite at UCLA's Pauly Pavilion on Saturday night.

The Jackrabbits (31-2) will face Danville Monte Vista (29-2) for the State championship next Saturday at the Arco Arena in Sacramento. Game time is 6 p.m. If Poly wins that game, it would become just the first Division I team to win four straight CIF State titles.

I'AM SO HAPPY TO BE A RABBIT CLASS OF 1981 ( HEY LET'S GIVE IT UP TO NOT ONLY POLY BUT THE WHOLE CITY OF LONG BEACH.HEY LADY RABBITS YOU ALL OUR JUST ADDING TO THE RICH HISTORY OF POLY AND THE CITY OF LONG BEACH.I TRUELY CAN SAY THIS: THE CITY OF LONG BEACH IS THE MELTING POT OF THE USA WHEN YOU CAN WALK AND TALK TO ANY COLOR/RACE ON THE STREETS THATS LOVE.LONG BEACH IS A VERY RARE CITY IT'S DIVERSITY CULTURE IS NOT MATCHED BY ANY OTHER CITY OR COUNTRY.SO WHAT I'AM SAYING IS AS THE LADY RABBITS GO FOR HISTORY WE THE GREAT CITY OF LONG BEACH AS A WHOLE MUST SUPPORT THEM.GO JACKRABBITS/THE BEACH LOVE YOU AND MAY GOD BLESS ALL OF US
