Soccer season is officially over! And so is Gahr's run

Los Alamitos lost 2-0 to San Clemente - like the Griffins did in the CIF-SS finals - in the CIF SoCal Regional girls soccer Division I semifinals. What a great season for a such a young team.

Valley Christian also lost, falling 2-1 on a late goal to S.D. Section's Parker High in a Division III semi. A great run for the Crusaders this year, and a heckuva coaching job by Kim Looney.

Speaking of great runs, the Gahr boys basketball team, an at-large team in the CIF-SS Division IIIA playoffs, made the CIF finals and SoCal regionals. However, that run came to an end with a 97-77 loss to Harvard-Westlake, which beat the Gladiators for the CIF title by a much closer score.
