Gahr High's Broderick Vanwjngaerde scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 10th inning to lead the San Gabriel Valley League All-Stars to a 4-3 victory over the Moore League on Saturday evening at Paramount High.
Vanwjngaerde had walked and stolen second before advancing to third and scoring on wild pitches from Poly's Kevin Nanbara, who picked up the loss.
Mario Gordon (Poly) had a two-run single and Matt Duffy's bloop single to right off Downey's Chris Munoz tied the game in the top of the eighth inning.
The SGVL took an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first when Ivory Thomas (Downey) walked, stole second and third and scored on a fielder's choice off the bat of Downey's Michael Mazzara.
Munoz then walked and stole second and home off Wilson's J.T. Mazlewski to give the SGV a 2-0 lead.
Warren's Mason Shelton tripled in the second off of Mazalewski and scored on a ground out from Thomas.
Munoz pitched the final three innings and was named the SGVL's MVP, while Jordan's Marcos Lara pitched two innings and struck out five to get the Moore League's MVP nod.
Paramount's Eddie Magallon was solid for the SGVL, going the first three innings, not allowing a hit and striking out two.
