Back on top after a pair of strong wins against weaker foes.
Friday vs. Verbum Dei

2. Los Alamitos (2-0)
The Griffins could have the best defensive team in the area.
Thursday vs. Wilson

3. Poly (1-2)
Got a much-needed W vs. Narbonne and moved up. Big test again this week.
Friday at Oceanside

4. Jordan (1-1)
Injured Timu could take bring Panthers' title hopes down a few notches
Friday vs. Dominguez

5. Compton (2-0)
Not sure the 'Babes have what it takes to play against solid D-I teams.
Friday at Dorsey

6. Warren (3-0)
Callier & Co. appear to be the best team in SGVL at this point.
Oct. 2 vs. La Serna

7. St. John Bosco (2-1)
Another good test for SJB this week after Week 0 loss to St. Bonnie.
Friday at Loyola

8. Norwalk (3-0)
The Lancers are running the ball very well and playing good defense, too.
Thursday vs. Paramount

9. Millikan (3-0)
The Rams a big surprise out of the gate, but will face biggest test to date vs. Barons.
Friday vs. Fountain Valley

10. Gahr (2-1)
Arguably the best passing offense in the area, the Gladiators should be 3-0.
Friday at Artesia

The comment made about Compton High School I disagree with that. They are a very solid team and it will show this year. All the teams you have of ahead of them havent play anybody solid except for poly so how can you say that. Lake wood played a powerhouse their first game and loss. Give Compton their Respect!!

Another killer year for St. John Bosco. Their schedule includes St. Bonaventure, Servite, Mater Dei, Loyola and Orange County Lutheran.
These guys could lose four games and still be the top team in the PT Football Top 10, which only ranks local Long Beach teams.

Compton is a good football team no more or no less,lakewood and poly will play for the top spot. and the cif champs will not come from this area.the oc teams have come foward once again.
