I just have a question regarding the coverage of La Mirada athletics in the Press-Telegram. That question is, why is the Press-Telegram giving La Mirada double coverage and giving them double exposure when they already get a ton from the Whittier Daily News? No disrespect to La Mirada, they have a great program over there, but they get as much coverage in the WDN as Poly does in the P-T and then add on everything that the P-T gives them, it seems like too much. I don't see why they should get this double coverage just because they are in the Suburban League which has teams local to Long Beach like Mayfair, Cerritos, and Bellflower. Whittier Daily News does not cover Mayfair or Cerritos or Bellflower, so why does P-T cover La Mirada? You will never see Mayfair in a poll or pre-season rundown in the Whittier Daily News, but in the P-T you can find La Mirada all over the place. Don't say "Oh, it's because La Mirada has a great program and they're in a league with local teams," because I will just come back with, well hey Edison has a great program and in the Sunset League with Los Alamitos which is a local school, but you don't ever cover them. Please stop or at least lessen this double coverage because it's really not fair to other area programs. Thank you.
