How can Millikan be ranked 8th in boys basketball, when Bosco beat them handily, 72-63, three weeks ago...and then Bosco beat Cabrillo, ranked number 9, last week by a score of 51-42. Where is Bosco? Are you guys awake?

Boys Soccer:
Millikan ranked number one?
Cabrillo ranked number five?
Both teams have an identical league record. The only difference is that Cabrillo out played Millikan, had the better scoring chances, and deserved to win the game in their recent 1-1 tie. That alone would lead anyone to believe that at very least they should both be ranked in the same position. What valid reason would you have to rank Millikan four places higher than Cabrillo at this stage of league play?

Millikan is ranked No. 1 in CIF-SS Division I; Cabrillo isn't ranked at all.
Millikan is 16-2-3 overall; Cabrillo 10-5-2
And didn't Cabrillo just lose to Poly?
Maybe La Mirada should be No. 1. They haven't lost a game at all.
How would you rank all the teams???

Thank you for moving Bosco ahead of Lakewood.

I knew I wasn't reading that correctly when I first saw it on the other entry last week.

Although tbh, I think it should Downey, Bosco and Los Al should be 1-2-3, in that order.

Okay do you know who won the wrestling match between John Glenn and La Mirada? It was Glenn! As usual no respect from PT.

Brave Eagle, i thought u you knew. John Glenn Wrestling had been the dominant team for quite some time. You see some seldom coverage, but this team went thru unprecendented back to back to back cif championships and barely an article for the championship. Other teams win league and the coverage they receive is silly. So they beat La Mirada big deal. They are not what you would call a wrestling power. top 10, definitely not deserved, must be riding the football top 10 wave.

I might not know much about sports ....but i know that john glenn got the W last thusrday against La Mirada( wrestling)... hhmmm... isn't that something..although a coach does have a great affect on the team he isnt the team...and if u dont know now u know ....

John Glenn did not win back to back CIF team titles. They had two individual champions this last year with Jose Lopez (heavyweight) and 135-pound Juan Arceo. They were covered all year, had a front-page feature on Jose, he was wrestler of the year, Monico was coach of the year and Arceo was on the first-team dream team. Glenn got more coverage than anyone last year. When they won cif, the headline read: Lopez, Arceo win CIF Titles. This year, they lost their coach, two best wrestlers and five or six other seniors. They are doing very well, but there isn't a coach's contact number we can find to get a hold of, however, they wrestle at Norwalk next Thursday for the Suburban League title and is in this week's top-10 after beating La Mirada and the Matadores are out. Anybody who says Glenn didn't get any coverage last year should talk to Monico, Jose and Juan and ask them what kind of coverage they got and you'd stop popping off immediately. Wrestling is a sport that is very hard to cover, because they don't have a maxpreps that has every stat and standings, etc and when their school's don't send in contact info on their coaches, there is no way to know exactly what's going on till the crunch time of league begins.....as it is now......so, maybe find out the facts before you whine. Also, all top-10's are subjective, especially the individual, because it's based on who's wrestling the hottest at the end of each week. For anyone who wants a best wrestler at each weight as the top-10 or top 14 since there are 14 weight classes, it would weaken the top 10 because there are some weight classes that are extremely weak. There is no question, however, that Damien Gomez is the best wrestler so far at 37-0 with six tourney titles at 103. Following right on his heels are: Millikan's Nick Pena (152), Lakewood's Kimo Napohaku (135) and Downey's Brandon McDonald (171).
But to the guy who had the nerve to say that Glenn had no coverage, that is the biggest joke I've read on here. Please, please, please call Enriquez, Lopez and Arceo and asked them if they got covered well...and maybe just maybe get your facts straight and we'll be good.

P-T writer. This slight of JG coverage was meant to be OVERALL coverage. Last year was not the year i was refering to back to back CIF championships. I am a 1996 graduate and a team meber of 1996 CIF Championship team. That was the third year in a row John Glenn had taken the team championship. I apologize for not beaing clear. Although not beaing clear got you to pop off at a long time P-T reader thank you. You have clearly stated so much that is amiss at the school. Which would have been a great piece of writing. No need to ask coach, as i saw those awards that presented to those mentioned very well warranted. Although for other local schools a league championship is suffice for some p-t writers to create some ridiculous puff pieces. This year they are undefeated in league and fighting for the league championship, yet with all the turmoil some good writers could have contacted an athletic director and checked on some contact number. Pretty sure an athletic director would give some help with that issue. Sincerely to
Pop off at the mouth PT writer.

The Top 14 Individual would be better in this case. You are telling everybody that wrestles that their weight is weak because you are not in the top 10. "it would weaken the top 10 because there are some weight classes that are extremely weak" Very brave, or extremely dumb statement. Good thing you did not write which writer you are. I agree top-10 with 14 weight classes you have an easier job becuase you don't have to omit any tough wrestler in a same weight class. A revision for wrestling individual top 10 could work. More recognition for individuals. Not enough recognition in this sport.

OK...now you have Bosco soundly beating JSerra on Friday night, who creamed St. Anthony, which is ranked number 7. But still, you wont put Bosco in your top ten. Is St. Anthony getting a sympathy vote from you guys.
