Nike SPARQ Championships

Kyle Lewis of Downey High was recentlly the top player at the Nike football combine at Vets Stadiums. On Thursday, he will go up againsts other top gridders in the Nike's SPARQ Rating National Championship in Beaverton, Ore.

The event will showcase 25 of the nation's most promising prep football players. SPARQ (Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction, Quickness) tests athletes on their 40-yard dash, agility shuttle (5-10-5 yard dashes), kneeling power ball toss and vertical jump.

We'll let you know how things go for Lewis.
