An account has been set up with Chase Bank for those wanting to donate to the family of Carlos Ornelas, a former Warren High and Cerritos College soccer player who was killed in an auto accident Saturday.

Ornelas, 21, was killed along with Cerritos teammate Eddie Valencia as they drove from Southern California to attend Kansas Wesleyan University, where they had accepted athletic scholarships. Briant Reyes, a Downey High graduate and teammate from Cerritos, was also in the vehicle but escaped with minor injuries.

Those wanting to donate can go to any Chase location with proper ID and contribute to account number 303659315. Any amount is appreciated.
