Jordan High and visiting Dominguez are tied 8-8 at halftime of Friday's nonleague game.
The Panthers took advantage of a muffed punt near midfield early in the first quarter, scoring on a 48-yard pass from Hudson Romain to Rahshead Johnson. Dominick Bell ran in the two-point conversion for an 8-0 lead.
The Dons answered late in the first after a shanked punt. On the first play from scrimmage, Dwight Woodson found Sylvester Winston over the top for a 37-yard score. Dominguez lined up for a one-point try, but a bad snap forced holder Brandon Beaver to scramble until he found William Johnson open to tie the score.
Both teams have struggled on offense. Jordan has 75 total yards and has committed nine penalties for 50 yards. Dominguez has just 58 total yards and Winston's TD catch is the Dons' only reception of the half.
