Good news for now ex-Centennial cfootball oach Jimmy Nolan - he's now the coach at LA City Section power Carson.
Nolan replaces Elijah Asante, who left for St. Paul after back-to-back L.A. City Section Final appearances.
Nolan spent the last two years at Centennial, where he went 14-10, turned a sub-par program into playoff contenders and spearheaded a number of ambitious fundraising efforts to help raise money for pads, uniforms and other football-related equipment.
Despite all his efforts at Centennial, Nolan ticked off school officials when he told his story of the impoverished program to the LA Times and felt some outside pressure at the end of this past season.
Nolan proved he deserves better, now he will get his chance.
