Below the Majestical Roof

Out last-minute Christmas shopping with my daughter Julia, tired of the chains, we headed for one of the last independent experiences to be had in Old Pasadena, the entrancing The Majestical Roof, where everything is handmade.
One way to get into the tucked-away place is through an entrance just below the southeast corner of Holly and Fair Oaks.
That's co-owner Yvonne Russo, above, standing below the coolest public-art project I've seen in a long time, hundreds of magnifying glasses hanging on monofilament from a high trellis, as hung by Pasadena artist Dave Lovejoy (www.lovejoyart.com) in a project that received a generous grant from the Pasadena Cultural Affairs Division.
Check it out!
The alleyway back there is set to start swinging with a new bar to replace McMurphy's, the traditional grandness of the Old Towne Pub and more little shops and local rather than franchised experiences ...
Comments
While the Majestic Roof is a great place, they really need to get their junk out of the abandoned La Maschera. It creates an eyesore from Fair Oaks and makes me NOT want to go down the corridor to their great little place.

I had the pleasure of stumbling upon this enchanting courtyard during the Holidays. Not only was I overwhelmed with the handmade items. I ordered a tremendous amount of handcrafted items to send to my family in New York. I was very happy to see that Pasadena has little boutiques like The Majestical Roof where you actually see the owners creating in the shop. Not only is this place eclectic, it's a progressive way to retail and I give it a thumbs up! The store also creates for emmy and academy award nominated celebrities! Way to go girls!

I had artwork in this store for a while and they do very little to promote the artists and also take a very long time to pay out when sales are made.
The art fair is a waste of money to participate. On a good day you may get twenty people walking through but once they see that there are only a few participants they normally leave quickly.
Artists beware.

Constructing a Mosque at Ground Zero has to really be the silly idea during the history of man, I most certainly consider that it's purposely purposely designed, at very best, to insight conflict. I am no conspiracy theorist sadly it is either shameful or hateful, potentially both of those. vanessa

I'll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

to get heard of the fresh Kinect? Its definitely awesome! I never had a whole lot fun playing adventures before, eventhough I would certainly call myself your hardcore player that will usually plays game titles like Call of Duty and stuff like that. The Kinect is so different than anything else I have ever played before. that motion controles function really well, and not just that, but not needing to use a controller to learn is the personification connected with freedom! No irritating button smashing any longer, a single word will do! You should really think about getting any Kinect!win a free xbox 360 kinect

If you're still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you'll know which is right for you.

I found a great diet program a couple of months ago, that helped me lose a load of weight. I was really skeptical at first, as they were going on about wholegrain pasta, as being rubbish for losing weight but then my mate whose a bit a fitness freak explained how bodybuilders eat pasta to put on mass. Anyways I gave it a try, and it was really good. I managed to lose 2 stone.

I do enjoy the way you have presented this specific matter plus it does indeed provide me a lot of fodder for consideration. However, from just what I have observed, I really wish as other opinions pile on that folks stay on point and not get started on a soap box of the news of the day. Still, thank you for this excellent piece and whilst I do not really agree with it in totality, I regard the viewpoint.

Depending on yourself to make the decisions can really be upsetting and frustrating. It can take many people a long time to build a strong moral system. Frankly it takes more than just happening to happen.
