Otherwise you have to be willing to walk quite a way to get to Millard Canyon, as going through La Vina is still not an option unless you know someone there who will pass you through the gate. Hiking up from the hairpin on Canyon Crest is another option, but the hillside is full of poison oak and I don’t believe there is a real trail going north from here leading up the canyon.
My neighbor owns a cabin at Millard. He says it’s still closed, and I see Michele corroborates.
