Bye bye, Pei Wei
Metro columnist and staff epicure David Allen blogged about the closing of Pei Wei, that likable pan-Asian eatery just a stone's throw from City Hall. Apparently, the bad economy has affected restaurants like the Macaroni Grill and The Whole Enchilada. I didn't think Pei Wei would fall, too.
Out of all the restaurants serving Chinese food that doesn't really taste like Chinese food, Pei Wei was my favorite. As a Hong Kong native, I can be pretty picky about my Chinese food, opting for the San Gabriel Valley ilk on most weekends. But Pei Wei was tasty and kept my stomach from grumbling at City Council meetings. It's one of those restaurants that I didn't pay much attention to while it was here but now that it's gone, I miss it.

And just down the street on Haven and Baseline, the Noble House Chinese Restaurant closed-up over night. Another one of those that I did not pay much attention to, but now that it's gone, I definitely miss it. It had great food and I too am picky about my Chinese.
I've read a few good stuff here. Certainly worth bookmarking for revisiting. I surprise how a lot attempt you set to make this sort of fantastic informative site.
