Mark your calendar: Halloween before sunset
The Art Pod, a new children's arts studio that recently opened on Jack Benny Drive, is hosting Halloween in the Daytime on Friday, a day full of activities and arts projects to keep children occupied before they go trick-or-treating. The first session is 9 a.m. to noon, the second session is 1 to 4 p.m. The cost is $20 per child.
This studio is full of classes and events that I never got to participate in as a girl. Kids yoga, mandarin language, metalsmithing just weren't taught when I was young. Actually, I still don't know what metalsmithing is. Find out on the Art Pod Web site and see what else they offer.

I believe "metalsmithing" involves a heavy metal band covering Morrissey tunes. Better go to ArtPod to make sure, though. It's possible I was misinformed.
