Enchilada no more

Don Marcos.JPGOr even better, chain link fence around an empty restaurant no more.

Don Marcos, a new Mexican restaurant taking over the former Whole Enchilada on Foothill near Center, looks geared toward a grand opening. Economic Development Manager Mike Nelson tells me the owner of Don Marcos is Mark Alan, the former owner of McAlan's Pub & Grill.

Buena suerte, Mark. This blogger prays you have a killer shrimp cocktail on the menu.

I was wondering when we were going to see an article or blog about this. I drive past the location everyday on my way to work at the courthouse and could see that someone was making it ready for something.

Now will they have to wait to open until Rancho is done with the top secret project in the lot next store?

Just a little word of advice for Senor Marco, keep it cheap! It seems the somewhat successful and still open Mexican restaurants in town, like Salsitas and Tios, try to keep their selections afforable for families to frequent.

Learn from the Las Campanas closure.

That's all RC needs, another Mexican restaurant on Foothill Bl. Besides the latest 3 at the Vic, nobody mentioned Bobby Baja's closing and who knows the fate of a couple more places on Foothill that I won't mention and maybe jinx.
