Rex and effects
Judging from comments on this blog, there are Rex fans, Rex foes and one who wants Rex to run for mayor of Los Angeles. I assume they might be interested in Councilman Rex Gutierrez's new blog, "Rex's Blog -- Thoughts, and news from day to day," which is through his online publication Vineyard Press.
The councilman has written four posts so far -- most of them are about his family and beloved USC Trojans. He also writes about matters of the city which he subtitles "Rex, and the city."
It's an amusing read with some touching sentiments about seeing his daughter off to college. Some disappointments, though. For one, there's bad comma usage. Also, he mentions reading the L.A. Times without saying a thing about the Daily Bulletin. And as a Mormon (or as he calls it "Christian of the Latter-day Saint persuasion"), Gutierrez really should have elaborated on his visit to Rexburg, home of Brigham Young University Idaho.

The $1.2 million to create new positions in the assessor's office for his political cronies as in Rex Gutierrez? I saw the article in the paper that mentioned that Rex was able to "hold on to his job at the assessor's office until he was able to secure another job in the county" and start the new job here in the new year. How convenient!! Also, I've noticed that the job he used to hold down at the county with his buddies Postmus and Aleman has since been eliminated (looking at the website of the assessor's office). No one is currently the "Intergovernmental affairs" person at the office. Where did the position go? Is it gone because it was a made up position in the first place. Why did he leave? And where and how did little Rex get a new job. There are big things brewing with that man and I think he needs to be checked into a little bit.
I cannot believe how much press Rex gets. Why? He is in bed with slime balls like Bill Postmus and Ron Stark. The three clowns make up the Dumb, Dumber and Dumbest Club! Or, how about Liar, Loser, and Louse? (Each name is interchanbable so they can be put in any order.) At least Stark didn't win City Clerk, Postmus is on his way out, and now we can only hope that Rex and his whiny little voice hits the road. These men do NOTHING but hurt our great city and county because all they crave is fame, power and recognition. We need people who will serve for the good of all and not just their overly enlarged egos.
Nice tie Rex! Who dresses you the riddler?
