Troubled assessor steps down

County Assessor Bill Postmus, an infamous Rancho resident, has resigned.

"I would like to apologize to those I have let down," Postmus wrote in his resignation letter. "Failing you and failing myself was never the objective of my career."

I just saw this on the County webpage and raced over to see what the Daily Bulletin had up on it.

YAY! Too bad the lawyers investigating him are still getting to bill for the next week until he is officially out.

He should have to pay the County back for the salary that he has collected over the past months. That would help save a couple of jobs...
