RC Now will return on April 6, after a two-week paid/unpaid vacation which I'll call "furlocation." I am going on a trip to Baja California where I will go whale watching, scuba diving and drug lord dodging. Wish me luck.

Be that furlough or vacation, the quality of your posts justifies that it's a well-deserved sabbatical that will help form new connections between brain cells and fuel your writing. A wise boss will see that time-off is critical to sustainable productivity. Have fun!
Wendy, Have a great time, relax and eat a couple of fish tacos for me.

Day Three of my 14-day trip to Baja California and my head is still very much attached, though not functioning like normal. Thanks for the good wishes. I´ll eat an extra fish taco for every comment received.

I would be interested in your restaurant review when you return, comparing Wahoo's Fish Tacos in RC to the authentic fish tacos you are experiencing south of the border.
Have you found anyone peddling Chiclets down there? May help out after some of those fish tacos.
Stay safe.

Wahoo's and its competitors in town aren't bad, Scott. But the fish down here is fresher and the batter lighter. The best part is all the taco ammenities. At one stand, I was given cucumbers, cole slaw, lime, salsa, pico de gallo as well as an array of hot sauces and mayo. It was like a meal of pho. They bring you 15 things to add to that one thing you ordered. ... I didn't think it was possible but I found something that I like even more than fish tacos -- scallop tacos. What a treat.
