Rex Foundation (For Learning)

| | Comments (5) |
The currently unemployed Councilman Rex Gutierrez is pondering his next move. He wants to start a private tutoring business called Rex Foundation For Learning. Don't confuse it with the Rex Foundation, which is a charitable organization in honor of the Grateful Dead. It was named after Rex Jackson, a Grateful Dead roadie.

Rex Foundation For Learning, however, is named after Rex Gutierrez. The councilman wants to tutor students in English and teach them how to write essays and resumes. Gutierrez said he might even teach students about running for office. But he won't teach math.

It seems he has given it some thought. Gutierrez said he'll do the tutoring in clients' homes or in his own home. He wants to charge around $60.

You got to be kidding? This guy has enough problems with creative writing. I think Rex would be better off teaching courses more in the social sciences area, possibly Ethics or Morals in today's society.

I don't think I want this character to teach anything to me or anyone else. He should teach himself about Ethic's and doing the moral thing even if he could get away with not doing it. Rex see's it like he was entitled to cheat and steal because that's what politician's do. Don't forget Rex, you said "no plea deal", we'll see if you were lying then too.

Let's say that "Trusting Teacher" became accused of inappropriate conduct towards a minor (because that minor was mad over a bad grade -- it does happen). And, let's say that "what a joke" was caught in the wrong place at the wrong time and was hauled in as a criminal. What a different song both would be singing . . . like canaries.

In America, there is due process before declaring a person innocent or guilty. When living in America, please do as Americans do.

Or, move to a country run by a dictator where guilt is based on feelings.

As a side note: I would not trust my child in "Trusting Teacher's" classroom with such a judgmental/dictatorial attitude to model to his/her students. Hopefully, "what a joke" does not go into teaching for the same reason. Our children deserve better.

Let's say Jody has her head in the sand, this is a blog for opinion's whether you like them or not. I'll bet you voted for Obama, take a real look at what he's doing and you'll see your dictator, give little Rex a pass because your to blind to see the truth. People with your attitude are part of the reason politition's like little Rex go on to be your hero's in State and Fed government and we all know what a fine job they do. If you are a parent it is your responsibility to raise your child properly, dont expect the teacher's to do it for you.

After reading, nay, deciphering What A Joke's attempt at literation, perhaps a tutoring session is needed.
Never mind the punctuation errors, and incorrect possessive voice usage; it seems that it is not possible for What a Joke to convey a lucid thought.
His futile attempt at writing is in his name - what a joke.
