In 2010, Diane's in
In other Diane Williams-related news ...
The longest serving councilwoman member, whose term is up next fall, has eyes on another term.
Williams told me she had one more term left in her last December. But recently, I heard from two sources who said they heard Williams wasn't seeking re-election. I figured the two statements make it a half truth so I asked Williams again.
"Don't know where you're hearing the rumors but I am planning on running for re-election next year," Williams wrote in an e-mail. "I figure I've got at least one more term worth of things I'd like to see finished."

Isn't she the only councilWOMAN? Not hard to be the longest serving I guess that way. :)
Maybe that should have said "councilperson" instead. :-D
Go Diane!
There was one previous elected Councilwoman - Pamela Wright.
What do we have to do to get rid of this dead wood? She hasn't done anything on her own to help the city. She is good at backing the other council members when they get their pay offs from the developers. We need new blood with new ideas not the same old crap!!!
The "Library Lady" Diane Williams!
Say it ain't so. I think everyone can appreciate the contributions Diane made over the years but we need a big REFRESH. Out with the geritol gang and in with some energetic new talent. Representative up to speed with this issues of this decade. This is no longer small town Rancho. This council acts like the city is still run like Mayberry RFD. Thank goodness we have an aggresive city manager and staff.
There might be one council member worth another term and it's not Williams, Not double dipper Rex, and please no, no, no, return of Alexandar. Let's put our time with these folks behind us once and for all. Lets get a few folks under 40 on the council.
