(This is off-topic, regarding Yoder’s appointment.)

Wendy, the series of posts of last night made a good case that you could give a blow-by-blow account of a meeting without the use of twitter. Plus, you were not constrained by the 140-character rule, and did not have to drink the kool-aid—at least not the twitter flavor.

As long as you have real-time access to this blog, this works.

As best I can tell, the trail planning committee has not been dominated by users. It has been dominated by pavement and landscaping companies. Users don't want landscaping, they want shade and water stops so they can use the trails more often.

To RP,

Perfect! You mentioned two of the things I like least about the trail. That's why I sometimes ride on Victoria Park Lane, just for some much needed shade.

The horses do have their watering hole down near Amythest. Unfortunately, I never see horses on the trail, just thirsty walkers and bikers.
