Dentist office to host candy buy back program

Children love Halloween because of the candy but what if they could get cash?

The Children's Dentistry of Inland Empire & Orthodontics is offering $1 for every pound of candy on Nov. 2. It's kind of a cash for Gobstoppers program. All the candy will be sent to troops overseas.

To participate, visit the office from 2 to 5 p.m. at 8209 Rochester Ave., Suite 101.

Wow, they managed to steal Halloween from the kids. Like stealing candy from a baby. Trust me the troops would be outraged that people are asking their kids to give up their candy while their parents haven't given anything up for the troops. The troops are so pissed off at Americans right now but we think they just love us. Imagine coming back from war and watching the media cover balloon boy on the news while your buddies are dying in the battlefield. The war is not important to this Disneyland nation because we are not allowed to see it. Candy for the troops...how disgusting, how infantile, how offensive. How dare you. Why don't you "adults" take your kids candy and shove it up your @$$.

Is the article really about having a discussion about "stealing" candy from kids or the kids offering the candy up for the troops? Get real dude.

Why should the kids have to give up their once a year candy while the "adults" sacrifice nothing? Oh wait…they went shopping. They did their part. What have the "adults" given in these past 8 years of war? I'll tell you what they've given. They have given the troops a broken military with very low morale, an endless war, and a wrecked economy to come home to, that is if he or she is still a homeowner. Why should the children act like adults and the adults act like children? Why do we make our children feel guilty for the war while "adults" go about their daily lives, oblivious to the battlefield? Get real dude and do a couple of tours before you think you know what you are talking about. The real story is that kids are sacrificing for the troops while the "adults" sacrifice nothing. Their economy and their wallet are much more important and have totally eclipsed the war. And when the war was in the headlines after 9-11, the president told everyone to just go shopping. Shouldn't we plant a victory garden, or do some volunteer work. No, the president thinks we should do what we do best...spend more money we don't have at the shopping mall. How embarrassing.

Get Real Dude And Go Shopping.
