When my parents moved our family to Rancho Cucamonga back in 1984 I was only 3 years old. I had moved from a small one story house in Montclair into a huge 2 story in Alta Loma. I remember my preschool at First Baptist Private School, but what I remember most about my childhood is Stork Elementary School.

Now that I look back on it, this school was not your average public school. The school and it's staff were much more advanced than most private schools. Students here are learning advanced, almost High School level material by the sixth grade to ready them for college.

The most valuable information I obtained from Stork Elementary School was from the 6th grade. Our founding fathers left this idea to us and it is that the founders wanted us to help create a more perfect union. Most people do not leave their elementary school with that amount of preparation, or with such an abundance of civic knowledge.

Thank You Stork Elementary School for a stellar education. And thank you Alta Loma School District for your exceptional high class educational system, a model for the nations' public schools.
