El Loco makes top-five list
We are about half an hour into the El Loco Cantina public hearing and staff from the planning and sheriff's departments have finished their presentation. One piece of evidence a sheriff's deputy showed to prove that the cantina is not the family-friendly business its permit requires the establishment to be is a link to My Fox LA. Fans of the Foothill Boulevard cantina voted it the best dance club in the Inland Empire. It won fifth place.

What in the hell are you people doing down there at city hall? We are in the middle of the great recession with the commercial real estate market about to collapse.
We have half built neighborhood districts, empty office buildings, and a failing airport and we are spending valuable time on anti-liquor laws which reject and destroy legitimate businesses that are unfairly discriminated against within city walls by city leaders?
I think the council should reconsider it's entire nightlife policy and get with the times. Just look at little old traditional Upland which allows bars, clubs, and even strip clubs. C'mon stop picking on the only fun businesses this bedroom community has.
And why are we driving business away in this economy? Because the over funded massive suburban police department said so. It has to actually do it's job, what the citizens pay it for...to protect...to serve??? And they can't even protect and serve one bar...one business?
I respect the police department but they are way out of line on this one. They are practically making policy decisions for the council. Embarrassing.
