Make way for new bridge
As stated here earlier this month, Foothill Boulevard on the west side of town will get a major makeover. The old bridge that goes over a narrow part of Foothill will come down and a new concrete one will take its place.Starting today, the Pacific Electric Trail from Grove to Vineyard will be closed for the rest of this year and all of next year. Avoid Foothill west of Baker entirely next weekend. The bridge is scheduled to come down on July 25.

That is quite the large detour. I am sad that it will take a year and a half, but I'm sure it will be great once it reopens. In the meantime, we'll just continue heading the other direction (towards the east end of the City) on the trail.
