A 'yes' for Zendejas, Winco

| | Comments (6) |
The Planning Commission approved a conditional use permit for Zendejas, which is planning to open on Foothill Boulevard east of Vineyard. The commission also said yes to allowing supermarkets in the Terra Vista Town Center. Winco now looks ready to take over the old Mervyn's spot.

excellent!! Winco will be a great add to the city. and for those that think it will "tarnish" the image.....you are talking about a center that has a Target....Target is barely a step up from Walmart. To make this happen I think some exits on the south side of the center onto Foothill will aide the traffic congestion.

As predicted the council will ok the planning commissions greenlight as they always do. The city could same money by eliminating the council and let the planning commission call the shots, the council just rubberstamps their decision. However we wouldnt get to watch the council circus lead by the clown Rex. Yeehaw!! By the way Rex when does your next trial start?

Maybe theres an appropriate space in Red Hill area. Im sure those elites like D.Michael would just be thrilled to have Winco to go to. Watcha think Mayor Pro Tem.

Not so...have you been to Target in that center and then to Walmart by the 15 freeway? No comparison in the type or class or people the two centers draw in. One is middle to upper-middle class. The other is looowww class Fontana and Rialto residents. Wincop will dra the same type of people. This is RC, not Fontana. There is a big difference, let's keep it that way.

Bereal, I'm so glad to FINALLY meet someone that has an even larger ego than myself. I know just like you that money is what really counts when it comes to status. Heck status is the ONLY thing! It has even crossed my mind that if my children or myself need medical attention and I find out that the nurse shops at Walmart I'll tell NO WAY! you'r low class! Nevermind that you're trying to raise your family on a limited budget. I would rather pass on to the other side 'cause after all STATUS is all that matters. I sure am glad I finally found a kindred spirit in you. Excuse me someone is knokcing on my front door right now. Probably another one of those damn pregnant teenagers trying to sell me a magazine subscription to get them off the streets. How low.....

Al, it's not necessarily about money, although class and money do generally go hand in hand. I grew up poor but our family had class, and now that I have worked hard to live a good life, I can afford to live in a nice, safe community where I don't have to put up with people breaking into my car or pan-handling me every time I go somewhere. You can't deny that taking your 8 kids to Walmart to play in the toy section unsupervised while you argue with your "baby daddy" is not low class. If you want a better life, get off of food stamps, go get educated and make a beter life for yourself. There's a reason you don't see Winco in Beverly Hills. It's all about your mentality my friend.
