All hail the grape

The Grape Harvest Festival rolls into town this weekend starting with a wine tent from 7:30 to 11 p.m. Friday at Victoria Gardens. Festivities will be at the mall from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. There will be arts and crafts vendors, food, entertainment and of course, the traditional grape stomp. Admission is $3.

Well...if I can get Rochester to fire up 'ol betsey then I can't think of a better place to spend the weekend than at this Grape Harvest Festival. $3.00 admission is a steal...do you think they have a 'dead comedian discount?"

I just can't bring myself to attend the recent versions of the festival. Not when as a kid I enjoyed many a Grape Harvest Festivals down at Guasti spending many hours riding rides, participating in pie eating contests and walking the large event. A few booths in the JC Penney parking lot just doesn't do it for me...
