Longest Cat.jpgSupervisor Paul Biane, in a black and white shirt, is obscured by the world's tallest cat as he helps a veterinarian measure Scarlett's Magic. That cat is taller than the supervisor!

Scarlett's Magic, who snatched the Guinness World Record last year for the tallest domestic cat, has grown. She was 17.1 inches from shoulder to toe when she broke the record last year. Last week, she was measured by a vet, who realized she grew another inch.

That's no surprise. Scarlett's Magic is just 2 years old. She probably won't stop growing until she's 4.

That's why her owners, Lee and Kimberly Draper, measured their Savannah cat once again to see if she'll keep her title this year. The Rancho Cucamonga couple are also hoping Scarlett's Magic will break the record for longest cat. She is nearly 43 inches from nose to tail.

When I visited the Drapers' Savannah Cat Shoppe in Corona last year to write this story, I saw her being hand fed ham. Now she's keen on chicken drumstick, perhaps the secret to her long and lean looks.

"She's spoiled to death," Lee said.

That's Dr. Chris Berg of Rancho Regional Vet Hospital in Rancho measuring Scarlett. He has "exclusive" rights to my rat terrier, Rizzo(no relation to the other rat Robert Rizzo) and my two chihuahuas Cricket and evil Petey. I saw Scarlett a couple of months ago at the Colonies shopping center but didn't get a chance to say meow.

Scarlet is so cool. We visited her (along with a loud baby Savannah who was in the store at the time) earlier this year. Altough she was napping, Lee knew how excited we were to see her and brought her out - although she was none to happy to have her sleep interrupted, she visited with us for long enough for us to fall in love with that gorgeous animal.

Its like you read my mind! You seem to know a lot approximately this, such as you wrote the ebook in it or something. I feel that you just can do with some % to drive the message home a little bit, however instead of that, that is wonderful blog. A fantastic read. I will certainly be back.
