Bill Alexander candidate statement

I have been a resident of the city for over 40 years. I had the honor of serving as your mayor and as a council member for 18 years.

During the past four years that I have been a private citizen, I have heard many concerns about the direction of this city. We are at risk of losing the great things about this city due to the threat of special interests and corruption.

Excessive development and traffic-generating projects have taken priority over preservation of open space, compromising our rural routes and equestrian lifestyle.

The family environment of our city must be reinforced. Cutbacks on senior citizen programs and youth sports have occurred and should be immediately reversed. City Hall must become more resident friendly and cut the bureaucratic red tape.

I am committed to ethics training for the City Council and staff. Government accountability and transparency needs to start at the top and it needs to start now.

I would appreciate your vote and confidence. If you have any questions or suggestions, please call me at 909-731-6777.

My heart belongs to this city. I hope that I have the opportunity to serve and work together with you.

Maybe I should call him and ask him the question that has been on my mind since I heard he was running.

Why is he back? What happened to his "dream home" in Arizona that he couldn't leave Rancho soon enough for in the past?

I've asked him the question of his Arizona home, Dean. He told me he goes there occasionally to visit family, that there's not even running water and that someday, he'll move there for good.

A leopard doesn't change his spots. Wasan't 18 years on the council enough to see the true side of Bill. Whiteman speak with forked tongue. No more Bill! We need new blood and new ideas on the council. Vote out all incumbents.

At the event the other night Bill was talking about how the fire department needs to look at giving back, wasn't he the one who pushed the retire at 50 years old with 3% annual increases ? He had his chance and is now trying to look like he is being fiscally responsibility, when he was the big spender and pusher for more union money, and his own union wouldn't even back him...what does that tell ya?

Thanks Wendy. You are the best! Well I am just looking over my ballot now, and one thing is for sure, it is great to see so many people stepping up to get involved in their community this time around.
