Gutierrez offers resignation

Rex Gutierrez has resigned. His e-mail to City Manager Jack Lam and the City Council follows:

Dear Jack, Don, Dennis, Diane and Sam:

This letter constitutes my official resignation from the Rancho
Cucamonga City Council effective immediately.

With heavy hearts my family and I want to express our love and
devotion to the wonderful people of Rancho Cucamonga, who have
largely stood by us in our time of need. It has been an absolute
pleasure working with the city family and the people of Rancho
Cucamonga. We are trying to understand the Lord's purposes in these
trials that have befallen us. All I know is that God loves me just as
much as He loves each one of His children. He will continue to put me
through the refiner's fire until He has shaped me into the person He
is satisfied with.

I am sorry to have put the residents of Rancho Cucamonga through this
ordeal. I will forever appreciate the patience and expressions of
good will from many people who stood with me.

God bless you all in this important work of making the lives of our
people happier and more fulfilling. Janet and I love you and will
miss you.

Sincerely,

Rex Gutierrez

Guitterrez council seat vacant...
Michaels, Williams & Buquet want to get elected with Gonzales as the fifth wheel. Then appoint the council seat vacant by Michaels. Newspaper stated Williams has 4 good years left in her, she will get elected, then resign, another seat to fill by an appointment making the picture complete with all these politicians running this city.
Rancho Bell Cucamonga ? Not a good ring to it.

I'm sorry I was stupid enough to fancy myself a player in crooked politics. It's with a heavy criminal heart and an empty wallet that I now shuffle off to prison to see my new neighborhood. Hopefully, I can lie to and cheat my new friend's in the neighborhood in the fashion I was able to in Rancho for so long. To the chumps who stood by me thru this ordeal orchestrated by mean people who don't like Hispanics, I'm a victim really I am. I'm sorry I couldnt have ripped of citizens to a larger degree before I was caught, but hey what the hell ya gonna do. Keep up the good work of taking bribe's and giving favors to developer's and whoever else you can suck money from, be more like me OK. Well God bless everybody specially Mr. Burum who helped make my new life what it is,love ya Jeff.

With the scandals in Rancho Cucamonga City Council and San Bernardino County Supervisor Biane now being implicated in the messes and now we find he's been breaking the law for 6 years by driving a County vehicle across the border and locally without a drivers license. These millionaires think they can get away with anything. They forget that WE THE PEOPLE are their BOSS and gave them their job with our votes. We trusted them to do the job and they didn't do it our way, with honesty and trust and not throwing away taxpayers hard earned money. WE THE PEOPLE will FIRE anybody who doesn't perform their job as it's supposed to be. WE (their bosses)THE PEOPLE, have our brooms and dust pans ready for Tuesday's election. I, like many of you, received a letter last week from "Friends of Rex Gutierrez", begging for our votes, and he stated that it's rediculous to spend $ millions to recover $7,000 that he used for sick pay. Looks like Rex took more than $7,000 of taxpayers money. It's worth every cent to investigate and put to trial every elected official who is implicated in these scandals, before we have another city of Bell right here.
I suggest everybody vote out ALL incumbents and get fresh faces into out city and county governments. There is a new sign all over the city with Marc Steinorth offering "Fresh Leadership". He's never run and his sign caught my eye right away. I'm taking a chance on someone I never heard of before. I went to one of his meetings and was positive when I left that he'd fix the problems in our city and would make sure no more scandals happen under his watch. So Tuesday, I recommend that everybody take up your position as the BOSS' of our elected officials and do a major house cleaning and get a new face in there to run our city government. I'd also like to know why the position of City Manager is not an elected job. Are we going to wait until we have Rizzo back here after his jail sentence is up? Keep the investigations going, and get some more cells ready, cause Big Bubba wants a new "girlfriend"!

Translator....

I appreciated his letter and all of his years of service to R.C.

You obviously don't know the Gutierrez Family. He and his family are good people and they are going to pay the price for his mistake, everyone makes mistakes...let's leave it at that....

Sounds like you lead a perfect life....

Get a life!!
