Calling aspiring firefighters

| | Comments (1) |
What is it about children and fire engines? At any community event involving a fire truck, children will bypass free candy just to climb aboard.

At 11 a.m. on Oct. 23, the library and fire departments will host a Big Truck Round-up at the Archibald Library. Children ages 2 to 8 will start the day with storytime and then head to the parking lot where a fire engine, police car, bookmobile and other vehicles will be available for ample climbing.

It's free. Bring your camera.

Thank you for spreading the word on our fun family event at the Archibald Library. This event receives tremendous community support with participation by the City Fire Department and County Sheriff and especially from Rancho Cucamonga Public Works. Every year Public Works bring staff and two huge pieces of equipment to the event. Kids might get behind the wheel of a backhoe or have their photo taken in the scoop of digger. We'll have lots of great books about trucks and other vehicles on the Bookmobile and in the Library. Come join us!
