The Cucamonga Valley Water District board is poised to promote the deputy general manager to lead the water agency.
Earlier this week, the board decided in closed session to appoint Deputy General Manager Martin Zvirbulis, right, to the general manager/CEO position contingent on a successful contract negotiation. General Manager Robert DeLoach, left, a former public works director for Pomona who has led the Cucamonga Valley Water District since 1997, is stepping down. Contract talks with Zvirbulis is expected to begin next month.
