Founders day next Sat.
The city will celebrate its birthday next Saturday with a Founders Festival community parade at Victoria Gardens. The parade, which starts on South Mainstreet at 9:30 a.m., will feature floats based on the theme of fairy tales and nursery rhymes. A celebration with awards presented to the winners of the parade starts 11:30 a.m. at the Cultural Center.
