Today's business page features an article about J.C. Penney closing its furniture outlet on Haven Avenue. The retailer will close July 1.

Good. This area near city hall should be redeveloped into mixed use consisting of restaurants and office/condo towers with parking below. This piece of land is prime real estate with highly visible office frontage along Haven Avenue which sees 50,000 cars per day. The new SBX Rapid Bus Line will station here so the project should be larger than your average Rancho business park. Tear down the 1970's strip mall and replace it with a project fit for a modern American city center.
