Work up appetite for flapjacks

Head over to IHOP on March 1 and you'll get a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. to mark National Pancake Day. The event is hosted by the Children's Miracle Network Hospital and customers will be asked to leave a donation for the Children's Hospital in Los Angeles and Orange County.

At last year's event, the pancake house raised $2.1 million for children's charities. This year, organizers hope to raise $2.3 million.

The IHOP is on 7228 Archibald Ave. There are also locations in Upland and Ontario.
