Let's hope for sunshine

On March 20, a car show to benefit special needs children will take place at The Magic Lamp restaurant on 8189 Foothill Blvd. The fundraiser was originally scheduled last month but postponed because of the rain.

Owners of pre-1970s classic cars can enter in the show starting 8 a.m. The cost is $25 and includes a Magic Lamp buffet. Proceeds go toward Rising Stars, a nonprofit that uses equestrian therapy for special needs children and young adults.

It's free to view the cars from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and to cast a vote for a favorite. Prizes will go to the top five vote-getters including best of show.
