Univ. of La Verne performance to feature Gilfry
Rancho Cucamonga resident Carin Gilfry will be among those performing at University of La Verne on April 16 in a recital presented by LA Opera. Gilfry, a first-year mezzo-soprano in the company's Domingo-Thornton Artist Program, is the daughter of famed opera singer Rod Gilfry.
The free community recital, which begins at 7:30 p.m., marks the opera company's 25th anniversary. La Verne is one of 25 venues selected to be a part of the "25 Recitals for 25 Seasons: LA Opera's Young Artist Celebration."
Seats at the Ann and Steve Morgan Auditorium, 1950 Third St., La Verne, are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
