Democrats: Let us vote
The Inland Valley Democratic Club will lead a "Let the People Vote" rally at the intersection of Foothill and Day Creek boulevards Friday evening.
Organizers of the event are calling for an election to extend tax hikes as a measure to balance the budget. They will protest Sen. Bob Dutton, R-Rancho Cucamonga, and other Republicans who have blocked such a vote.

The people want the chance to vote on fixing the budget. Why won't Dutton let them decide? Let's be out there Friday and let him know that citizens have the right to vote on this, not leave it to the politicians.
Wendy – thanks for the post, however, I take issue with the use of your phrase, “extend tax hikes” since these are taxes we are currently paying, so there is no hike.
Now is not the time to reduce our revenue! We are the richest state in the richest country in the world, how can we be broke?
With what Sen. Dutton is proposing, (keep in mind the GOP has yet to submit a complete budget), the draconian cuts will cause death. Cuts in Children’s and elderly care will cause people to die. This is immoral! The drastic cuts in education is unethical. The cry for our youth while taking away their path to prosperity. And allowing out of state corporations whom are stealing our jobs to keep tax breaks is just plain pandering.
Have we lost our moral compass?
Nice to finally see some Democrats protesting in RC for a change. I was beginning to think those letters stood for Republican City. Yes, we MUST extend these taxes or face dire consequences that the people of CA do not want to see.
The same old liberal Democrat scare tactics are being slung on the wall again to see if it will stick. Grandma will die in the street, the chillren wont get a pop tart, on and on with this crap decade after decade and not a mention of the fact that California is bankrupt because of public sector unions. We are sick of paying for medical and pensions for your lazy asses. Pay for your own as all other people do, what makes you so special that you think your friends and neighbors should pay for your retirement and health care for ever. Do away with this stupid thing called "Tenure" in the schools,not based on anything except the person is breathing. Its past time to bust the strangle hold these unions have on the taxpayers and what a surprise Moonbean Brown cant do anything except say I want to raise taxes again.Stick to your guns Republicans and tell Looney Moonbean to go to hell.
