Fourth of July is back

| | Comments (2) |
Due to budgetary constraints, the city did not have a July Fourth fireworks event last year at Quakes Stadium like it usually does. This year, it is back, with food, field games and fireworks starting at 9 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m. and festivities begin 6:30 p.m. Tickets -- available by phone, online or at the Victoria Gardens Cultural Center box office -- are $8. Online tickets include an added fee.

July Fourth is a Monday this year, making it a three-day weekend.

Something tells me that city hall heard an EARFUL about that last year. What a freaking joke to put it in Fontana. This city could definitely afford to do ONE fireworks show per year, what with the tax revenue that they MUST be getting from all of the shops at Victoria Gardens (not to mention the other businesses scattered throughout this city)...

Yes, the city can afford to do one fireworks show per year however, the city is busy paying it all out to city council members, one member is retiring this year, with all full benefits and $300k, not bad. All government is a joke.
