Does your water taste funny?

If you noticed an earthy odor in your tap water, it's algae bloom. Apparently, some people can taste it and some people can't. Algae bloom thrives in the warmer months of autumn, or Indian Summer. Today is one example; it's supposed to be 100 degrees today!

Read today's article on page A3 to find out when this algae will go away.

First time I noticed it was at a meeting.
I had mentioned that we be RC green and serve water from a pithcer. It tasted terribale.
Same thing in the water foutain.

I later noticed even a smell from the tapwater at home. Good thing we have a good filter.

I blamed it on bought water like every October-November.

That's interesting, Mariann. Some people can taste it every year. Apparently this year is worse.

the water became very "chloriney" tasting a few days ago.... this is a great explanation. Very apparent from watering hose and after taking a shower. reminded me of Pomona water.
