Hobby Lobby opens Monday
Arts and crafts store Hobby Lobby will have its grand opening on Monday. The store will open 9 a.m. with the ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon.
Hobby Lobby takes the space of the former Mervyn's on Foothill Boulevard at the Terra Vista Town Center. Five Hobby Lobby stores are opening across the country on Monday. The locations in Rancho Cucamonga and Temecula are both located in former Mervyn's.
Opened Monday through Saturday, Hobby Lobby sells crafts and home decor items including fabric, picture frames, baskets, jewelry and scrapbooking supplies.

My company and I did some of the retro work at this location to get it ready. The project manager said this will be a place where you can drop your wife, girlfriend, or both off and come back in 2 hours to pick them up because of all the "neat" things they offer.
What a jerk. Sounds like one of those guys who enjoys a nice, clean, well-decorated home then turns around and mocks the woman who created it. And did he really say "both?" Keep dreaming, project manager.
I didn't see this posting beforehand and I about ran my car off the road on Monday afternoon when I passed by and saw that they were open. I was very giddy as I did a quick walk through and I'm sure I just scratched the surface of what they have to offer. I was glad to find the perfect scrapbook (at 50% off nonetheless) to document my running adventures which I'd be unsuccessful in locating at many other stores.
I hope this is just the beginning of bringing in new business to occupy our many vacant storefronts.
