Baseball playoff predictions...
We'll try to stay away from the professional sports talk here at Caesar's Corner, but I can't help myself when it comes to playoff predictions. So here we go:
American League Division Series
Indians over Yankees
Red Sox over Angels
American League Championship
Indians over Red Sox
National League Division Series
Phillies over Rockies
Diamondbacks over Cubs
National League Championship
Phillies over D-Backs
World Series
Phillies over Indians
Overview: Call it a gut feeling, but I like the Indians to take out the mighty Yankees (depite losing the season series 6-0) and the Red Sox to edge the Angels in a classic series. Over in the NL, I'll take the surprising Diamondbacks over the Cubbies and the Phillies to outslug the Rockies. Then I'll go with the Indians over the Red Sox and the Phillies to reign over Arizona in the championship series.
In the Fall Classic, I'm taking the Phillies and their mighty bats over the hard-nosed Indians in seven games.
