Redlands High School boys' water polo coach Jeff Lamb confirmed Tuesday that he will also take the reigns over for the RHS girls' water polo team.
Lamb, who also pulled the off the feat for a year at Redlands East Valley, will take over for Matt Fry, who guided the RHS girls to the CIF Division V title game during the 2006-07 season.
While the Terriers did lose scoring sensation and four-year standout Brooke Vessey, Lamb is excited about the possibilties for his second water polo team.
"It's a good team," Lamb said. "We're bringing lots of girls back. There's no Brooke, but we got some girls that have stepped it up. The girls are very coachable and they want to win. Some of them are looking for a club team to play for and I encoruage that fully."
Among the team's top returning players include Sharon Dyer, Doris Tran, Emily Haws and goalkeeper Carly Miller, who started for the Terriers in last year's title match.
