REV survives against Murrieta Valley...

If you liked touchdowns, Ted Runner Stadium was the place to be on Friday night.
There was a total of 15 touchdowns scored in Redlands East Valley's CIF Inland Division first-round game against Murrieta Valley. Fortunately, the Wildcats did one better than the Nighthawks in a thrilling 60-53 victory.
Senior running back Chris Polk shredded the Nighthawks' defense, rushing for 332 yards and four touchdowns.
His 51-yard touchdown run with 1:48 remaining, helped the Wildcats breath a sigh of relief, giving REV a 60-46 lead.
"He beat us," MV head coach Lance Neal said simply after the game.
Aside from all the points and all the yards (1,212 total), the game will also be remembered for the efforts of MV junior quarterback Lyle Negron, who toyed with the REV defense the entire night.
Negron passed for 346 yards, rushed for 203 yards and accounted for all seven Nighthawk touchdowns.
Now it's on to the quarterfinals for the Wildcats, where they will travel to Norco High School. The Cougars are the reigning Inland Division champions.
