ACA wins Ontario Christian tourney…

Thanks to the heroics of senior forward Alan Supernaw, the Arrowhead Christian Academy boys’ soccer team captured the 16-team Ontario Christian Christmas Classic tournament title on Friday, earning a dramatic 2-1 victory over Glendora High School.
Down 1-0, Supernaw scored the game-tying goal with just seven minutes remaining in the match and the game winner minutes into overtime.
The winning goal came on a breakaway for Supernaw, who ran down a ball and struck a beautiful left-footed shot that struck the far post and bounced right in.
The goal marked a remarkable tournament for Supernaw, who scored 10 goals in ACA’s four wins and was named Most Valuable Player for his efforts.
Sophomore goalkeeper Mitch Wiseman and senior defender Travis Berryman earned all-tournament honors for the Eagles.
Friday’s victory completes an amazing nonleague start for the Eagles, who will take their 12-0-2 record into Christian League play next week.
