Bulldogs edged by CMS.....
The University of Redlands men's basketball dropped to under .500 in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference this past Saturday night, dropping a 52-51 contest to visting Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.
Senior guard Dave Thomas scored 13 points and sophomore guard Patrick Coffey added 12 points for the Bulldogs, who slipped to 8-10 overall and 3-4 in SCIAC play.
With the first round of SCIAC play complete, the Bulldogs are tied for fifth place with Whittier College in the eight-team SCIAC. Only the top four teams will advance to the postseason tournament.
Occidental College leads the conference with a 6-1 mark, followed by Cal Lutheran and CMS at 5-2.
Up next for the Bulldogs is a Wednesday road contest against Caltech and Saturday home game against Pomona-Pitzer.
