The best burger joint?
On Monday, McDonald's unveiled their Angus Third Pounder, McDonald's biggest burger, made of premium Angus beef. Here at the Daily News, we were skeptical, so we arranged for a blind taste test, pitting the McD's burger against similar fares from Burger King, Fatburger, In N Out and Carl's Junior. Believe it or not, the Third Pounder won.
So what do you think? How does the new McDonald's burger stack up to the competition, and where can we get better burgers in Los Angeles?

1) The original Tommy's Beverly and Rampart, Los Angeles.
2) ANY In-n-Out joint in Southern California.
Simple as that.

#3 (93/100) Tommy's
"Original Tommy's Burger"
beef, chili, real cheese slice, beefsteak tomato, pickles & mustard.
#2 (97/100) In-N-Out
"4 x 4, Animal Style"
4 mustard-cooked beef patties, hand-leafed lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, extra spread & pickles.
#1 (99/100) Farmer Boys
"The Farmer's Burger"
1/2 pound, flame-broiled burger topped with double cheese, hickory smoked bacon and fresh avocado.
Nice ad for McDonalds. Wonder how much they paid you for that. Nice try, but the McDonalds burger is no more than 72/100.

The Sherman Room in Van Nuys (Sh. Way & Balboa) has a killer burger...
They grind their own meat from Steak (Filet/Sirloin) trimmings and char grill to perfection w/ carmelized onions, sauteed mushrooms, on a french roll and add some nice "Ranch Fries"
Mmmmmm!!!!!

Best burger..?
My patio, fresh off the grill, on a warm summer night.

Burgers are best at In-N-Out, but their fries are horrible. Second place? MacDonalds. Third: Carl's...I haven't tried Fatburger...

Carl's is better than McDonal, but your commercial is too cheap (no manner).
Give more value to your ad, Carl's may be better fast food to eat.

This counts as a front page news story? Are we going to see a Coca-Cola ad on the front page next week? Seriouly guys.

Let's not forget "Islands".
Also "Outback Steakhouse" has a "No Rules Burger".
You can add what ever you want at no additional charge.
Both mentioned, cook fresh meat, not frozen.
