The Mayfair High School Monsoon Marching Corps

pn07-rpitem.jpgThe Mayfair High School Monsoon Marching Corps won first place at the Southern California Judging Association Field Show Competition last Saturday to earn the title California State Band Champion. The Monsoon Marching Corps beat out eight other bands in Division 5, +118 members, from around the state. Each band must qualify for the State Championship Tournament by earning a win in one of the SCJA regional tournaments. The 157-member Monsoons won the third annual tournament with a 91 overall score, and a 97 from their auxiliary unit.
